Job summary

Varley is seeking an HR Manager for our Chesterfield office. You will partner with leaders across Product, Merchandising and Operations to deliver a proactive HR service across the employee lifecycle.

You will manage employee relations, learning and development, talent and succession, early careers programmes, engagement and HR operations, ensuring compliance with employment law and GDPR, while fostering a high-performing, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• CIPD qualification or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in HR Manager / Senior HR Advisor / HR Business Partner roles with broad generalist scope.
• Strong employee relations experience with complex cases.
• Experience partnering with senior leaders to drive organisational change and people initiatives.
• Experience delivering learning and development programmes and coaching leaders.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead HR contact for the Chesterfield office and advise managers.
• Partner with Product, Merchandising and Operations to deliver people solutions.
• Drive HR policy improvement and data-driven decisions.
• Lead employee relations, investigations and case management.
• Develop learning programmes and support management development and succession.
• Champion values, engagement, wellbeing and inclusive culture.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and early careers initiatives.
• Maintain HR records, payroll support, and HR compliance.
