Job summary

Aramark UK is seeking a Chef Supervisor for HMP Millsike in York. You will manage day-to-day kitchen operations, supervise staff and inmates, and ensure meals are prepared to the pre-ordered menu while maintaining cleanliness and compliance.

You will lead a team of chefs and enhanced inmates, delivering meals three times daily. Requires supervisory experience, a culinary qualification, and valid UK work rights with DBS checks; standard shifts 7.30 am–5.30 pm.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory skills.
• Experience working in a large-scale kitchen.
• Lived in the UK for the past 5 years and have a legal right to work and pass DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist engineers in the kitchen unit?
• Be responsible for the preparation of basic quality foods within a set pre-ordered menu.
• Ensure the kitchen is clean, tidy and stock checks are conducted correctly.
• Fill in relevant paperwork and due diligence forms.
• Be an excellent team player and able to handle conflicts.
• Undertake relevant training as required.
