Aramark UK is recruiting a Sous Chef at HMP Oakwood, Wolverhampton. You will lead a kitchen team in a secure environment, supervising enhanced inmates and ensuring smooth meal preparation and service.

The role requires a relevant culinary qualification and prior experience in a large-scale kitchen; you must live in the UK, have the right to work, and pass DBS checks. This full-time position offers 40 hours weekly, shifts 7am–6pm, with weekend work and free meals.

Qualifications

• Lived in the UK for the past 5 years.
• Legal right to work in the UK and pass security vetting/DBS checks.
• Previous supervisory experience in a kitchen.
• Relevant culinary qualification required.
• Experience in a large-scale kitchen preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist enhanced inmates in preparing and serving meals.
• Ensure kitchen cleanliness and accurate stock checks.
• Complete paperwork and compliance forms.
• Maintain high food standards within a set menu.
• Be a strong team player and handle challenges professionally.
