Job summary

Berkeley-Scott is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and catering businesses in and around New Tonbridge starting in September. You will manage kitchen operations across sites, lead kitchen teams, and ensure high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, and allergen controls while enjoying flexible agency assignments.

The role offers competitive hourly pay of £18.00-£24.00 and ongoing support from the Berkeley-Scott

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chef Manager or in kitchen management.
• Enhanced DBS certificate required.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Full UK driving licence and vehicle access is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day running of busy kitchens.
• Lead, motivate and support kitchen teams.
• Plan and deliver high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Maintain food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards.
• Manage stock, orders and waste.

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of2 years' experienceas aChef Manageror in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
