Job summary

Berkeley-Scott is recruiting experienced Chef Managers to join our agency team for exciting opportunities across schools and catering businesses in and around High Wycombe starting in September. If you're an organised hospitality professional with strong leadership skills, this is a fantastic opportunity to enjoy flexible agency work while managing kitchen operations across a range of sites.

The role offers competitive hourly pay of £18.00-£24.00 and starts in September.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role.
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Experience in schools or contract catering is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens.
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams.
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals.
• Maintaining food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards.
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste.

Key responsibilities:

• Managing the day-to-day running of busy kitchens
• Leading, motivating and supporting kitchen teams
• Planning and delivering high-quality, nutritious meals
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and allergen standards
• Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste
• Ensuring kitchens operate efficiently and meet client expectations

What we're looking for:

• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Chef Manager or in a similar kitchen management role
• Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills
• Experience working within schools or contract catering is desirable
• Two satisfactory references
• An Enhanced DBS certificate
• The right to work in the UK
• A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle would be an advantage, but is not essential
