Job summary

SSP is seeking a hands-on chef for a fast-paced kitchen role. You will assist with administration, maintain hygiene records, conduct stocktakes, and ensure cleanliness across the operation.

You will lead by example, support the manager with recruitment and training, and uphold high culinary standards while delivering excellent dishes in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• At least one year's experience in a similar high-volume kitchen role is desirable.
• A hands-on chef who keeps cool, stays positive, and leads by example.

• Support the Manager in the recruitment, induction and retention of the Kitchen Team.

Job description

• Assist with all administration for the kitchen, ensuring that it is completed according to all deadlines, including food hygiene records, stocktakes, wastage sheets and cleanliness records.
• Support the Manager in the recruitment, induction and retention of the Kitchen Team.
• Maintain the highest culinary standards whilst delivering excellence in every dish. You thrive under pressure, love a challenge, and can rally a kitchen behind you.
• A hands-on chef who keeps cool, stays positive, and leads by example.
• Due to some responsibilities within the Chef de Partie role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts., At Least one years' experience in a similar high-volume kitchen role is desirable. Pay Rate: 15.60 per hour + as a little incentive, you will earn an extra 1.50 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 6AM, bringing your rate of pay to 17.10 per hour.
• Hours of operation are 2am to 11pm. Working flexibly across weekdays, weekends, bank and public holidays.
