• Formal culinary training or catering qualification.
• Experience in a busy, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong knowledge of food & beverage operations.
• Good understanding of the food service industry.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Thorough knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations.
• Ability to stay calm and organised under pressure.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook a variety of fresh, nutritious hot and cold meals for students, staff and visitors.
• Create high-quality food for special occasions and events.
• Ensure meals are served on time with high quality, presentation and consistency.
• Follow College Food Hygiene, HACCP and Health & Safety procedures (temperature controls, chilling, thawing).
• Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and food safety across kitchen areas and equipment.
• Comply with Environmental Health and Health & Safety requirements for handling, prep and storage.
• Work with Head Chef and Catering Manager to minimise waste and manage stock rotation.
• Report equipment faults or maintenance issues to Head Chef.
• Maintain a safe, professional, clean, welcoming working environment.
• Follow Ratcliffe College policies and support the wider Catering Team.
• Be flexible for weekend, evening and Bank Holiday work and major College events.
