Job summary

Travail Employment Group is recruiting a Chef de Partie for a well-established education provider in Plumpton. Based in the central kitchens, you will deliver high-quality meals across outlets, support students, staff, and events, and contribute to outstanding hospitality services on campus.

The role requires experience in a high-volume kitchen, a catering qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of allergens, and the ability to work as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume professional kitchen environments.
• Catering qualification and Food Hygiene Certificate are highly desirable.
• Knowledge of allergens, dietary requirements and cross-contamination.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual handling duties.
• Experience as Chef de Partie or similar role is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce high-quality meals for students, staff and visitors.
• Assist with menu preparation and development.
• Cater for conferences, meetings, events and hospitality functions.
• Maintain food hygiene, health and safety and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure accurate food temperatures and cleaning records.
• Monitor stock levels, rotation and storage procedures.
• Minimise waste through portion control and sustainable practices.
• Support service delivery across all catering outlets when required.
• Train and support junior team members where appropriate.
