Job summary

Derby Mickleover Hotel, Signature Collection By Best Western in Derby is seeking a Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. You will be responsible for a specific kitchen section, delivering high-quality dishes with consistency, while supporting junior team members and maintaining a clean, safe work environment.

You will work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth, well‑timed service and adherence to food safety regulations, contributing to guest satisfaction and the overall kitchen

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie in a busy kitchen.
• Ability to prepare and present high-quality dishes.
• Strong teamwork and leadership to support junior chefs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes efficiently and consistently within your section
• Take ownership of your area, ensuring standards of food quality and presentation are always met
• Support, guide and help develop junior members of the kitchen team
• Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work environment at all times
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations consistently
• Work collaboratively with the wider kitchen team to support smooth and well-timed service
• Remain calm, focused and professional during busy service periods
