San Carlo, based in the UK, is hiring a Chef de Partie to join their kitchen in Birmingham. You will prepare and cook across sections, following established recipes and quality standards to deliver excellent dishes.

As a section lead, you will oversee junior staff, maintain clean and safe work areas, and ensure timely service in collaboration with restaurant management. Compensation is competitive with extensive colleague benefits.

Qualifications

• 2 year’s experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail, highly organised and capable of handling multiple tasks.
• A proactive self-starter who can work independently with good judgement and minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking food in their assigned section of the kitchen, such as grill, pasta, meat & fish, or pastry.
• Ensuring that all food preparation and cooking is done in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.
• Managing their section of the kitchen, including overseeing the work of any commis chefs or kitchen assistants.
• Ensuring that their section of the kitchen is clean and organised, and that all equipment is properly maintained.
• Collaborating with other kitchen staff and restaurant management to ensure that food is prepared and served in a timely manner.
• Adhering to company food safety and allergens policy.
• Maintaining accurate records of food inventory, preparation, and waste for their section of the kitchen.
• Treat everyone with respect and remain calm at all times.
