Job summary

Accor's Ibis London Excel hotel is seeking a passionate and reliable Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team. You will work closely with the Food & Beverage team to deliver high-quality food across our hotel restaurant and breakfast service.

You will prepare, cook and present dishes to a high standard, follow recipes and safety guidelines, maintain hygiene, assist with breakfast, lunch and dinner service, manage stock and waste, and collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Chef de Partie or in a similar kitchen role.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Solid understanding of food hygiene and health & safety requirements.
• Ability to work a flexible rota including evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard.
• Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with hotel recipes, standards and presentation guidelines.
• Maintain excellent food hygiene, health and safety standards at all times.
• Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, functions and events as required.
• Monitor food quality, freshness and portion control.
• Work efficiently during busy service periods while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Assist with stock rotation, deliveries and storage of food products.
• Minimise food waste and maintain stock control.
• Keep kitchen equipment and areas clean and organized.
• Support and communicate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Follow COSHH, HACCP and other food safety procedures.
