Job summary

Young's The Canford in Poole is seeking a Chef de Partie or an ambitious Commis Chef ready to take the next step. You will join a friendly, beachside venue known for fresh British seasonal fish and seafood and a vibrant, Mediterranean-style atmosphere.

Working with our Head Chef, you will help design and deliver new dishes for the menus and daily specials, maintain high standards, and support the team with excellent communication and planning. We offer extensive training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience as Chef de Partie or Commis Chef aiming for progression.
• Passion for quality fresh food and high service standards.
• Hands-on leadership and good communication with front of house.
• Ability to design and deliver new dishes with Head Chef.
• Strong planning to control GP and labour costs.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and supervise kitchen operations.
• Lead by example to deliver quality British seasonal fish & seafood.
• Contribute to menu development and daily specials.
• Maintain hygiene, portion control and waste management.
