Job summary

Young's Pubs in East Grinstead is recruiting a Chef de Partie for our newly refurbished town centre site. You will work with a supportive Head Chef to deliver fresh British dishes, maintain quality and consistency, and contribute to menu development.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering quality fresh food in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Applies food safety practices and maintains high standards.
• Able to work hands-on as a Chef de Partie and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Champion excellent service through quality food.
• Deliver fantastic dishes consistently.
• Work hands-on as Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor.
• Learn new skills and be a team player with strong communication.
• Assist in designing and delivering new dishes for menus and daily specials.
• Maintain GP and labour controls with planning and organisation.
• Drive sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front-of-house teams.

We have a large private outside space with a burger shack and a full draught outside bar, a warm modern style interior with plenty of cosy nooks with log burners for the winter.

What we look for in a Chef de Partie:

We are looking for an existing Chef de Partie or an excellent Commis Chef looking for their next step, who considers themselves to have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Chef de Partie you will:

• Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
• Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic food every time
• Be an active hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor
• Show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills
• Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
• Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
• Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house teams
