Job summary

Mitchells & Butlers PLC is offering an Apprenticeship Production Chef Level 2 across our kitchens in the United Kingdom. You will train on the job, gaining a nationally recognised qualification while contributing to a high‑energy kitchen team and learning to work to brand standards.

You will be paid £10.85 per hour for 18–20 year olds and £12.71 per hour for 21+; the programme includes mentoring, English/Maths skills and progression opportunities to senior chef roles.

Qualifications

• Willingness to learn and develop in a busy kitchen.
• No prior experience required; training provided on the job.
• Functional Skills in English and Maths may be included.

Responsibilities

• Communicate openly with the team to deliver outstanding food and service.
• Prepare, cook and present food quickly and safely to brand standards.
• Handle guest queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen and back-of-house areas.
• Complete documentation and daily/weekly cleaning tasks.
