Job summary

Aramark UK at Vimy Barracks, Catterick, DL9 3PS, is seeking a Chef to join a dynamic culinary team. This permanent, full-time role covers 35 hours per week across 5 days in a fast-paced kitchen, with duties from breakfast to dinner and special event service.

You’ll work with quality ingredients, support with stock, and help maintain high standards of food safety and presentation while developing your culinary craft within a world-leading hospitality organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (e.g. HACCP).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with high volume bulk catering desirable
• Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks (UK residency for the past 3 years required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner – plus fine dining for special events.
• Working as part of a talented team and mentoring new colleagues.
• Managing stock, placing orders, and keeping kitchen records up to date.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Supporting with kitchen deep cleans and due diligence paperwork.
