Aramark seeks a passionate chef for a fast-paced kitchen at Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison. Prepare meals across services, mentor teammates, and manage stock with accurate records.

You’ll follow recipes, ensure portion control and high hygiene standards while supporting deep cleans and compliance. Excellent teamwork and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP).
• Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
• Attention to detail and pride in food presentation.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with high volume bulk catering desirable.
• Ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks (UK residency for the past 3 years required).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner - plus fine dining for special events.
• Working as part of a talented team and mentoring new colleagues.
• Managing stock, placing orders, and keeping kitchen records up to date.
• Follow recipes, portion control, and presentation guidelines.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
• Supporting with kitchen deep cleans and due diligence paperwork.

Location: ITC Vimy Warrant Officers & Sergeants Mess, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3LS
Pay:£13.05 per hour(£23,832.30 per year)
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours/week, 5 days over 7
Shift times: 0600 - 1330 and 1130 - 1900
