Job summary

Aramark UK is hiring a Chef Assistant to support chefs with food preparation and cooking, including sandwiches, grab-and-go items, and basic hot meals. You’ll follow recipes, ensure portion control and presentation, and help maintain high standards across all meals.

The role emphasizes meeting dietary requirements, working under pressure, and being part of a team that values progress through apprenticeships and internal training.

Qualifications

• UK residency for the past 3 years & ability to pass security vetting and DBS checks.
• Strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety standards (e.g. HACCP).

Location: Vimy Barracks, Catterick Garrison, DL9 3PS
Pay: £12.71 per hour (£23,211.38 per annum)
Contract type: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week, 5 days over 7 (includes some weekends)
Shift times: 0530 – 1300 or 1100 - 1830
