Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a talented and dedicated Chef at Cwmbran High School to prepare nutritious meals for students and staff, and to support hospitality functions. The role is permanent and 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term-time only (39 weeks).

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children, with DBS checks required and safeguarding measures in place. Training and apprenticeship options are available to develop your career within our team.

Qualifications

• Excellent team player.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures; DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking healthy and nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for students, staff and hospitality functions.
• Following recipes and all policies and procedures.
• Mentoring new colleagues as part of a team.
• Good time management in a fast-paced role.
• Keeping kitchen records up to date.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
