Job summary
Futura Design Limited in Bruntingthorpe, Lutterworth, is seeking a Manager - Vehicle Development Engineering with extensive motorcycle and/or automotive experience. You will lead the Chassis Engineering team within the Global Technical Organisation, managing design, delivery and development of chassis parts across the complete motorcycle.
The role requires collaboration with Product Strategy, Industrial Design, Powertrain, Sourcing, Quality, and manufacturing, ensuring on-time delivery, cost
Qualifications
- 10-15 years' OEM or similar domain experience.
- Experience effectively managing a team.
- Proven track record in engineering design of components and subassemblies across the complete motorcycle.
- Sound knowledgement
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team for development and validation of chassis components across sub functions.
- Conduct daily flow meetings to manage execution and workload.
- Ensure safety, regulatory compliance within the NPI framework.
- Oversee 3D CAD (Creo) and 2D drawings to meet cost, quality and spec targets.
- Coordinate with CAE, PLM, and supplier teams for design release and validation.
- Review DFMEA and ensure design documentation is complete.
- Mentor and train team members and support contractors as needed.
