Job summary

Royal Enfield seeks an experienced engineering manager to lead the Chassis Engineering team at the UK Technical Centre in Bruntingthorpe. You will oversee design, development and validation of chassis components across Aesthetics, Dynamics and Structures for new motorcycle models, coordinating with global teams.

You will manage CAD models, drawings and BOMs, drive design reviews, DFMEA, and ensure manufacturability and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in a mechanical/automotive field or equivalent experience.
• 10-15 years in OEM or similar with hands-on CAD experience (Creo/ProE).
• Experience managing a team.
• Track record in engineering design of motorcycle components/subassemblies.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering team for development and validation of components across one sub-function (Aesthetics, Dynamics, Structures).
• Conduct daily flow meetings to manage execution and workload.
• Develop 3D CAD models and 2D drawings to meet cost/quality targets.
• Evaluate designs with CAE to optimize performance.
• Manage BOM creation/release in PLM.
• Oversee design checking, drawings, and specifications.
