An experienced Chartered Building Surveyor is required to join a Chartered Building Surveying Practice offering a range of services to customers across the commercial, private and public sectors, including insurance reinstatement, building design, property development, and building services, operating across the UK from offices in London, Southeast, Midlands, and Northwest.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out inspections and provide advice on design, construction, maintenance, repair, and refurbishment of various buildings and sites.
  • Conduct measured surveys, defect diagnosis, and investigations.
  • Assess the condition of existing buildings, identify defects, and propose repairs.
  • Prepare reports, specifications, and drawings for repairs, refurbishment, demolition, and rebuilding projects.
  • Manage projects and perform post-tender analysis.
  • Oversee works using recognized building contracts and adhere to current technical standards.
  • Work independently as a project lead with comprehensive knowledge of professional consultancy services.
  • Apply relevant legislation such as health and safety, party wall, building regulations, and planning regulations.
  • Promote the company’s services to secure projects and grow the business.
About You
  • Experience in project management, design, and contract administration.
  • Insurance reinstatement experience is desirable.
  • Familiarity with all perils related to insurance claims.
  • Organized, efficient, professional, and committed to a long-term career with the company.
  • Knowledge of CAD, CDM Regulations 2015, The Party Wall Act 1996, Building Regulations, and Planning Legislation.
  • MRICS qualification.
  • Full UK driving license.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary up to £75,000 per annum, depending on experience.
  • Bonus exceeding 14%, with OTE up to £85,000 per annum.
