Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Belfast is seeking a Chartered/Near Chartered Engineer to lead high-quality civil and structural designs for major projects across the UK and Ireland. You will partner with national and international design teams, manage design documentation, and guide junior staff on complex highway structures.

The role requires a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, professional qualification (CEng/IEng) and experience with Eurocodes, DMRB and bridge design software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and professional qualification (CEng/IEng).
• Experience with Eurocodes, DMRB, Network Rail/Translink standards.
• Proven knowledge in design, maintenance and supervision of bridge projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality civil and structural designs for new builds, renewals, maintenance and assessments.
• Lead design teams, manage documentation and review drawings, 3D models, and calculations.
• Collaborate with national and international teams and guide junior staff.
