Job summary

British Heart Foundation is seeking a Sales Assistant in Basingstoke for a full-time, 35-hour week role in a busy clothing store. The position is a 3-month fixed-term contract with weekend and bank holiday flexibility across seven days.

You’ll provide first-class customer service, merchandise donations creatively, and support the E-Commerce team to extend online sales. As a Keyholder, you’ll help run the store when managers are off duty, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• No previous retail experience required; passion and customer service matter most.
• Must be 18+ years old to apply.
• Willing to work weekends and bank holidays.
• Physically demanding role with lifting large items and lots of movement.
• Able to work well in a team and stay positive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers, delivering exceptional service and promoting the charity's mission.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock to maximise sales.
• Collaborate with the E-Commerce team to boost online sales.
• As a Keyholder, run the store when no manager is on duty and ensure a great customer experience.
