Job summary

Grant Thornton UK is seeking a Manager in our CFO Solutions team to lead the delivery of finance services using Xero and automation. You will develop the people delivering the service while shaping client engagements across diverse sectors.

You will manage client portfolios, plan staffing, and drive high-quality outputs, ensuring timely delivery and value. The role emphasizes technical quality, partnerships with clients, and ongoing growth of the Xero offering.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering outsourced accounting or finance services including management accounts and VAT.
• Experience reviewing technical work and managing associated risks.
• Experience managing and developing a team, including resourcing and scheduling.
• Experience working with Xero and related apps or a clear appetite to lead on them.
• Excellent communication skills for clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of outsourced accounting and finance services for a varied client portfolio.
• Plan and coordinate client work, including staffing, to meet objectives on time and within budget.
• Take the lead in setting up complex client engagements and guide the team accordingly.
• Build strong client relationships and act as a primary point of contact.
• Oversee billing, cash flow management and ensure work is on track vs. timescales and budgets.
