Job summary

SOCOTEC UK & Ireland is seeking a proactive Central Supplier Coordinator to support the Procurement Team. You will own supplier onboarding, manage master data, conduct due diligence, and help implement a new supplier portal, while engaging internal and external stakeholders and supporting growth within SOCOTEC. The role offers training and clear career progression in a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Confident and comfortable communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
• Highly organised, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities.
• Proactive and genuine interest in good practice supplier management.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring requirements are met efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Coordinate approval workflows for internal approvals required.
• Keep supplier records up to date and set up new suppliers in master data systems.
• Oversee supplier due diligence processes and manage document refreshes for compliance and risk.
• Support the implementation and rollout of a new supplier portal and provide first-line portal support.
• Act as a key contact for supplier communications and drive engagement initiatives.

Central Supplier Coordinator

Are you interested in procurement? This could be your opportunity to excel as a Supplier Coordinator, playing a vital role in supporting SOCOTEC’s continued success.

Looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Supplier Coordinator to join the Procurement Team. We’re undergoing a transformation within the Procurement Team at SOCOTEC, and as part of this we will look to radically change our supplier lifecycle processes. This role will be responsible for supplier onboarding, ongoing due diligence, engagement and performance monitoring.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, both internal and external.

This role offers a genuine scope for growth. As you develop in this position, there will be opportunities to get involved in wider procurement projects, broadening your skills and experience as part of a clear career development plan within the procurement function.

The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):

Supplier Onboarding Management
Own and manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new suppliers, ensuring all requirements are met efficiently, accurately, and in a timely manner. Coordinating approval workflows for internal approvals required.

Supplier Master Data Management
Keeping supplier records up to date, archiving inactive accounts, ensuring categories and details are regularly reviewed. Setting up new suppliers in master data systems.

Supplier Due Diligence
Take ownership for supplier due diligence processes, including managing recurrence of supplier document refreshes, ensuring compliance and accuracy of records (e.g., financial, data protection, cyber security, sustainability risk assessments).

Supplier Portal Management
Opportunity to shape and improve supplier management processes, including support on the implementation and rollout of a new supplier portal. First line support for the business on supplier portal.

Supplier Communications + Engagement
Act as a key point of contact for supplier communications, driving engagement initiatives that strengthen relationships internally and externally. Collating supplier performance KPIs and tracking and managing suppliers at risk.

Modern Slavery Assessments (desirable)
Undertake annual modern slavery assessments and analysis, identifying risks and supporting the business’s compliance obligations.

Qualifications

To be a successful Supplier Coordinator, you should be able to demonstrate:

• Confident and comfortable communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders, at all levels.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office package.
• Highly organised, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage priorities.
• Proactive and genuine interest in good practice supplier management.
• Previous experience beneficial, but not essential. Full training will be provided.
