Job summary

Simpson Associates is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead new business into a central government department. This hunter role focuses on opening doors, building relationships, and generating significant new opportunities with an established, targeted department.

You will work with technical and pre-sales specialists to shape opportunities, aiming to grow a broader central government team over time. Strong government network and data/analytics experience are highly valued.

Qualifications

Hunter mentality and new business focus into central government.
Proven track record selling into a single department or body.
Experience closing enterprise data/analytics/AI deals.
Strong pipeline management and commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

Identify and own relationships with key decision-makers in your target department.
Generate new business opportunities from a standing start.
Build and manage a pipeline of enterprise-scale opportunities.
Collaborate with technical/pre-sales to shape credible proposals.
Lead co-sell activity with Microsoft and alliance partners.
Represent Simpson Associates at industry and government events.
