Job summary

Urenco, based at Capenhurst, seeks an CE&I Engineer to provide control, electrical and instrumentation engineering support across plant modifications, asset management and capital projects. You will act as Intelligent Customer for external services and advise operations, maintenance and project teams with safe, compliant solutions.

The role requires engineering degree or demonstrable experience, progress toward IEng/CEng, and strong contractor oversight capabilities in a nuclear facility setting.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline engineering or demonstrable experience.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status.
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or actively working towards registration.
• Experience delivering projects from concept through handover.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and site procedures.
• Experience with plant modifications and change control.

Responsibilities

• Ensure CE&I activities comply with Nuclear Site Licence requirements, legislation and company procedures.
• Promote safety through design and support regulatory inspections and audits.
• Develop CE&I engineering solutions for plant modifications and improvement projects.
• Produce and review specifications, calculations, drawings, functional design specs and technical reports.
• Provide technical oversight of installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Support project delivery from concept through commissioning and handover.
