Job summary

Urenco Ltd at Capenhurst is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the FEED design team, delivering conceptual and basic designs for new builds or modifications of production facilities. You will lead electrical expertise, provide guidance to third-party designers, and help set safety-driven design requirements.

Work includes overseeing centrifuge drive systems, site HV to plant LV power distribution, and CPT design standards in the Design Engineering Excellence Centre.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities in electrical design.
• Experience with high/low voltage plant designs.
• Strong quality management experience in design and production.
• Track record delivering conceptual and basic designs for complex facilities.

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive safety culture across Urenco sites.
• Oversee electrical design for centrifuge drive systems and power distribution.
• Lead CPT design packages for electrical systems.
• Ensure CPT design standards align with safety practices.
• Provide guidance to third-party design providers.
• Lead post-implementation reviews and feedback to design authority.
