Job summary

Urenco is seeking an CE&I Engineer at Capenhurst to provide control, electrical and instrumentation engineering support across operations. You’ll work on plant modifications, asset care, reliability improvements and capital projects, acting as Intelligent Customer for external services and guiding operations, maintenance and project teams.

Qualifications

• Degree in relevant discipline-specific Engineering.
• Associate member of a relevant engineering institute, and actively pursuing chartered status.
• Incorporated Engineer (IEng), Chartered Engineer (CEng), or actively working towards registration.

Responsibilities

• Ensure engineering activities comply with Nuclear Site Licence requirements, legislation and procedures.
• Promote safety through design and support regulatory inspections.
• Ensure plant modifications are justified and implemented through change control.
• Develop CE&I engineering solutions for plant modifications and improvement projects.
• Produce and review specifications, calculations, drawings and technical reports.
• Support investigations, root cause analysis and engineering assessments.
• Support project delivery from concept through commissioning and handover.
• Develop scopes of work and technical specifications for contractors and suppliers.
• Review and approve contractor designs and engineering deliverables.
• Provide technical oversight of installation, testing and commissioning.
