Job summary

Urenco Global at Capenhurst is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead electrical design for FEED projects, from concept to basic design. You will guide third-party engineering teams, ensure safety compliance, and deliver designs for centrifuge drive systems and power distribution.

The role requires a strong background in plant design, quality management, and international collaboration, with regular travel to Urenco sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Proven track record delivering conceptual and basic designs for complex facilities.
• Experience with safety standards and design integrity.
• Ability to mentor third-party engineers.

Responsibilities

• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation.
• Incorporate safety into advanced plant designs per industry best practices.
• Oversee electrical design engineering from HV to LV.
• Produce basic CPT design packages and maintain CPT standards.
• Guide detailed design and supplier quality processes.
• Establish Group Reference Design and safety case standards.
• Lead post-implementation reviews for Design Authority compliance.
