Job summary

AECOM have an exciting opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer to join our Environment & Energy SH&E Team. This national role can be based at any main office locations, including Manchester, Basingstoke, Glasgow, Cambridge and Bristol.

Be a Safety Champion, provide CDM counsel, and collaborate with teams to deliver design to construction duties and health & safety files for major energy projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in Overhead lines and HV projects.
• Member of the Association of Project Safety.
• NEBOSH National or General Certificate, or similar health and safety qualification.
• Experience in delivering the Principal Designer role, ensuring effective and efficient delivery of duties under CDM on energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Be a Safety Champion and advocate for health, safety and the environment.
• Lead pre-construction phase, drive risk mitigation and enhance collaboration.
• Deliver excellence and continuously improve methods and results.
• Provide CDM counsel to energy projects, staff and clients.
• One Team: collaborate to attain collective goals.
• Management Systems implementation to foster compliance and bolster safety culture.
• SH&E promotion and adherence to safety principles.
