Job summary

AECOM have an exciting opportunity for a CDM Principal Designer to join our Environment & Energy SH&E Team. This role can be based at any main office in the UK, including Manchester, Basingstoke, Glasgow, Cambridge and Bristol.

The Principal Designer will collaborate with our GGP CDM Lead to provide CDM support, advice and guidance, and to bolster health, safety, and wellbeing across projects.

Qualifications

• Design/engineering degree is required.
• Experience in Overhead lines and HV projects.
• Member of the Association of Project Safety.
• NEBOSH National or General Certificate, or similar health and safety qualification.
• Experience delivering the Principal Designer role on energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Be a Safety Champion, promoting health, safety and environment across projects.
• Lead pre-construction phase, champion risk mitigation and design-to-construction transitions.
• Provide CDM counsel to energy projects, staff and clients.
• Collaborate with teams to foster a cohesive SH&E culture.
• Implement management systems and promote AECOM safety culture.
