Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a CCTV Security Systems Engineer to join the Asset & Technology Solutions team, supporting projects across Essex and the South of England. You will install, maintain and support CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and related security technologies across multiple locations.

You will work to industry standards, ensuring safety and high-quality delivery, while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven experience with CCTV systems, including IP CCTV.
• Knowledge of intruder alarms and access control.
• Qualifications in CCTV or security systems.
• Good understanding of current industry standards and compliance requirements.
• Experience in accredited environments (BAFE, SSAIB or NSI) desirable.
• Valid Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair CCTV systems in line with standards.
• Support intruder alarms, access control, and door entry systems.
• Ensure work is safe, efficient, and high quality.
• Assist in maintaining site security at all times.
• Carry out equipment deliveries and collections as required.
• Implement risk assessments and method statements as needed.
• Identify unsafe acts and report observations on site.
• Stay updated with regulations and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders across the business.
