Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a CCTV Engineer to join our Asset & Technology Solutions, covering sites across Scotland. You will install, maintain and repair CCTV, intruder alarms and access control, travelling between sites to ensure security systems meet required standards.

You will work across multiple locations, bringing hands-on expertise and ensuring safety, efficiency and high quality workmanship in line with regulatory codes and company protocols.

Qualifications

• Experience with IP CCTV systems and related technologies.
• Trade qualifications related to CCTV and security systems.
• Experience working in a BAFE, SSAIB or NSI-accredited company.
• Solid understanding of current industry standards.
• Full UK driving licence is required.
• Technical knowledge of Intruder Alarm, Door Entry, Fire and Access Control systems.

Responsibilities

• Repairing, maintaining and installing CCTV systems to standards.
• Ensure work is completed efficiently and to company protocols.
• Support site security across locations.
• Deliver and collect assets and materials as required.
• Perform risk assessments and method statements when needed.
• Report unsafe acts or near misses and document observations.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date with regulatory codes and standards.
• Support installation/maintenance of intruder alarms and access control.

About The Role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a CCTV Engineer to join our Asset & Technology Solutions business, working across our sites throughout Scotland. Joining our Fleet Site Security team, you’ll play an important role in helping to maintain effective and reliable site security. You’ll be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of remote and fixed CCTV systems, alongside Intruder Alarm and Access Control systems. This is a varied, hands‑on role that will see you travelling between Balfour Beatty sites, providing technical expertise and ensuring our security systems are installed and maintained to the required standards.

As a CCTV Engineer, Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Repairing, maintaining and installing CCTV systems in accordance with relevant standards and specific system specifications.
• Ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the appropriate company standards and protocols.
• Supporting the maintenance of excellent site security across our locations.
• Delivering and collecting assets and materials as required.
• Implementing risk assessments and method statements when required.
• Reporting observed unsafe acts, near misses and positive observations.
• Keeping your technical knowledge up to date with relevant regulatory codes and industry standards.
• Supporting the installation and maintenance of wider site security systems, including Intruder Alarms and Access Control systems.

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone with strong practical CCTV experience and a good understanding of security systems and relevant industry standards.

You Should Have

• Experience working with IP CCTV systems.
• Relevant trade qualifications related to CCTV.
• Experience working within a BAFE, SSAIB or NSI-accredited company.
• A good understanding of current industry standards.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Technical knowledge of Intruder Alarm, Door Entry, Fire and Access Control systems.

You’ll be comfortable working across different sites, using your technical expertise to deliver work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
