Job summary

Mitie is seeking a CCTV Operator in Northampton to monitor surveillance systems across B&Q sites and distribution centres. Training is provided, including CCTV SIA licence, with no prior experience required.

The role involves 12-hour shifts (days/nights/weekends) and on-site work in a fast-paced SOC environment. You will analyze footage, report incidents, and maintain logs while coordinating with security teams to ensure safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail to identify unusual activities or potential security threats.
• Clear verbal and written communication to report incidents effectively.
• Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance technology; basic computer skills for logging and reporting.
• SIA Licence holder for CCTV; training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Monitor CCTV cameras across sites and conduct proactive and reactive live surveillance.
• Analyse footage and report suspicious or illegal activities promptly.
• Maintain accurate incident logs and file documentation.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and log faults with SOC manager.
• Collaborate with security personnel and law enforcement as required; support incident management.
