Job summary

Darlington Borough Council is seeking an experienced CCTV & Security Control Centre Manager to lead a comprehensive security and monitoring service. You will act as SPOC for surveillance matters, govern CCTV systems, run the control centre, alarm monitoring, Lifeline and related services, and collaborate with police and partners to keep Darlington safe.

The role requires strong leadership, governance and data protection knowledge, with an essential SIA Public Space Surveillance licence or to

Qualifications

Experience in CCTV/security or control room management.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Knowledge of surveillance legislation, governance, and data protection requirements.
SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) Licence is essential or obtainable after appointment.

Responsibilities

Lead the CCTV & Security Control Centre operations and delivery of services.
Govern, develop and improve CCTV systems and related services.
Manage budgets, contracts, policy development and income generation.
Oversee installation, maintenance and governance of CCTV infrastructure and Lifeline/Out-of-hours services.
Collaborate with internal teams, Durham Constabulary and partner organisations to keep Darlington safe.
