Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a CCTV Operator to join our security team at a large venue in the UK. You will monitor CCTV, safeguard visitors and property, and support incident response during night shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid SIA CCTV/Door Supervisor license, have ACT Awareness, SCaN for CCTV Operators, and demonstrated problem‑solving and communication skills; right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear, accurate communication and transmission of information.
  • Escalate incidents per the incident escalation process; maintain running logs.
  • Deploy security resources to handle incidents and matters.
  • Operate CCTV system; conduct daily site risk assessments; maintain CCTV records; operate fire alarm, PA, VMS, alarms, BMS, ANPR, radios and phones.
  • Implement emergency procedures per the Incident and Emergency Plan.
  • Document complaints, incidents involving possible criminal activity and daily activities accurately and professionally.

About The Role

We are seeking a highly organised and motivated individual to join our team as a CCTV Operator.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join our highly trained, professional security team within a large Venue. You will be responsible for the protection, security and safety of visitors and the building.

Working Pattern

19:00 - 07:00 Nights only. 4 on 4 off

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure that there is clear, accurate communication and transmission of all relevant information.
  • Ensure the correct escalation of incidents is followed in line with the incident escalation process; running logs are maintained in the Operators running logs.
  • Effectively deploy security resources to deal with all incidents and matters arising.
  • Proactive operation of the CCTV System; conducting daily site activity risk assessments, maintaining accurate CCTV records. Operation of the fire alarm system, PA system, VMS, Intruder/Panic Alarms, BMS, ANPR, radio and phone systems.
  • Implementation of the emergency procedures in accordance with the Incident and Emergency Plan.
  • Thoroughly, accurately, and professionally documents complaints, incidents involving possible criminal activity and other daily activities.
