CCTV Drainage Coordinator
Metro Rod LTD
Full-time, permanent
Hybrid working, with travel to sites and franchise locations as required
Salary £32,000 + benefits
Ready to step away from the tools without leaving drainage behind?
If you are an experienced drainage engineer with OS19 and CCTV surveying experience, this is an opportunity to use everything you have learned on site in a technical, project-focused role. You will move away from day-to-day reactive work and physical drain clearance, while staying close to the industry, supporting engineers and turning survey information into accurate, client-ready drainage plans and reports.
The role is based at our Support Centre with hybrid working and regular travel to sites and franchise locations. It will suit someone who understands how drainage systems behave in the real world and can bring credibility, practical judgement and strong survey knowledge to our Projects team.
Metro Rod works with organisations including Equans, Amey, Aldi, Mitie, Greggs, McDonald's and Wetherspoons across facilities management, social housing, property management, retail, industrial and leisure. Established in 1983, Metro Rod and sister company Metro Plumb provide drain clearance, maintenance and plumbing services through more than 60 franchisees across the UK. Together with Willow Pumps and Filta, our Waste & Water Services Division offers a complete solution for keeping water and waste flowing.
You will take CCTV drainage survey outputs, engineer sketches, site information and OS mapping data and turn them into accurate technical records, layouts and client-ready deliverables. Working closely with the Project Manager, engineers and franchise teams, you will help set up new projects, review the quality of incoming survey information and ensure the finished output reflects what is actually happening underground.
Your practical drainage background will be central to the role. You will be able to spot gaps, inconsistencies and technical issues that someone without field experience may miss, challenge information constructively and help engineers improve the standard of survey submissions.
We are an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marriage or civil partnership status, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
