Job summary

Southampton City Council’s Museums, Art Gallery and Heritage Services seeks a Visitor Experience Supervisor (Catering) to supervise catering and hospitality delivery across venues, supporting visitors, volunteers and colleagues. The role requires strong catering experience, customer service, and the ability to guide others in a busy front-of-house environment.

Qualifications

• Catering experience is essential.
• Strong customer service skills are required.
• Ability to supervise and guide others is needed.
• Must be organised and able to stay calm under pressure.
• Commitment to food safety and inclusion is important.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the practical delivery of catering and hospitality activity within venues.
• Support rotas, stock control, waste management, tills and cashing up.
• Ensure café presentation, health and safety, food hygiene, licensing requirements and hospitality activity.
• Help achieve income targets and support venue hire and front of house activity.
