Job summary

KM Recruitment is recruiting for a Catering Tutor/Trainer (Trainee or Qualified) to work on a centre-based role. You will teach and assess learners working toward Level 2 Catering qualifications in a classroom environment, delivering engaging sessions and monitoring progress.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 2 Catering qualification, be IT literate, and have a full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle. Training towards PTLLS/AET is funded and supported by the employer.

Qualifications

• Must hold your own Level 2 Catering qualification.
• Experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners is desirable.
• Willingness to work towards PTLLS/AET – funded and supported by employer.
• Solid occupational competency within Catering/Hospitality.
• Must be IT literate.
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards Catering qualifications up to Level 2 in a classroom-based environment.
• Ensure sessions are motivating and engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular assessment and reviews.
• Provide guidance to learners relating to progression decisions.
• Embed Maths and English into sessions.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to learner needs.

Salary: up to £40,000 – inclusive of location uplift (Depending on skills and experience)

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Essential Criteria:

• Must hold your own Level 2 Catering qualification.
• Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners.

• Must hold solid occupational competency within Catering/Hospitality.

Duties include:

• Teach/assess learners working towards Catering qualifications up to Level 2 within a classroom-based environment.

• Provide advice and guidance to learnersrelating to decision making and progression.
