Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Construction Tutor (Trainee or Qualified) based centre-based in the UK. The role is full-time and permanent with a salary up to £35,000, including location uplifts.

You will teach and assess learners toward construction qualifications and support English and Maths Functional Skills, helping learners overcome barriers and stay engaged. A Level 2 construction qualification and GCSEs are required.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised Level 2 qualification within a Construction trade.
• Must hold solid occupational experience within Multi-Skilled Construction.
• GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
• Organisational skills are essential, as well as the ability to plan time effectively.
• Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
• Driver and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications within Multi Skilled Construction in a classroom setting.
• Support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learners' needs.
• Ensure sessions are engaging, motivating and develop learners' skills and behaviours.
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular assessments and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decisions and progression.

Duties:

• Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications within Multi Skilled Construction (e.g. Painting and Decorating / Dry Lining / Plumbing / Carpentry etc.), within a classroom-based environment.
• Support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner's needs.
• Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners' skills knowledge and behaviours
• Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
• Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.

Criteria:
