Job summary

KM Recruitment is seeking a Chef Trainer/Assessor (Trainee or Qualified) for a hybrid role across the East Midlands. You will train and assess apprentices, delivering on-site visits and online sessions to develop culinary skills up to Level 4.

You will also support learners with Maths and English Functional Skills to level 2, manage the diary, and maintain learner progress documentation while inspiring motivation and quality in every session.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as Head Chef or Sous Chef.
• Experience cooking from scratch is essential.
• Confident in supporting learners with Functional Skills.
• Excellent communicator with learner focus and quality mindset.
• Able to plan time effectively and manage a diary.
• Full clean UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Train, assess and deliver Chef/Senior Culinary Apprenticeship Qualifications up to Level 4.
• Deliver hybrid training including online, site visits and workshops.
• Support learners to achieve Maths and English Functional Skills to level 2.
• Manage diary to ensure timely visits and reviews.
• Organise and maintain learner progress documentation.
• Advise, motivate and support learners, overcoming barriers to learning.

Starting salary:

£29,000 - progressing to £30,000 + BONUS

Duties include:

• Train, assess and deliver Chef/Senior Culinary Apprenticeship Qualifications up to Level 4.
• This is a hybrid role and will include online delivery, face to face employer site visits and workshop/classroom-based Chef training.
• Support learners to achieve Functional SkillsMaths and English tolevel 2.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

Essential Criteria:

• Must have experienceofworking as Head Chef or Sous Chef.
