Job summary

The King's School, Chester invites applications for a Catering Supervisor to oversee daily catering operations and lead the on-site team.

Based in Cheshire, you will deliver high hygiene standards, support school functions and provide a warm hospitality experience for pupils, staff and guests. This term-time only role is 35 hours per week at £13.30 per hour, working five days out of seven.

Qualifications

• Has previous experience in hospitality, catering or events.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends for school events.
• Understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety.
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day catering operation and ensure excellent service.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team.
• Collaborate with General Catering Manager and Head Chef on daily services and events.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, allergen management and cleanliness.
• Deliver warm hospitality for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
• Support planning and delivery of school functions and events.
• Encourage teamwork and continuous improvement.
