Job summary

Sodexo is seeking an enthusiastic Catering Supervisor to join The King's School, Chester, leading day-to-day catering operations and delivering excellent service to pupils, staff and visitors.

You will lead the catering team, ensure food hygiene standards, support events, and work closely with the General Catering Manager and Head Chef.

Experience in hospitality or education environment is desirable; the role offers full training, a dynamic team, and opportunities across Sodexo.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of food hygiene, health and safety, allergen management and cleanliness.
  • Deliver a warm, welcoming hospitality experience for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
  • Support the planning and delivery of school functions, conferences and hospitality events.
  • Promote teamwork, provide on-the-job training and encourage continuous improvement across the catering team.

What You Do

What You Bring

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and can adapt to changing priorities.
  • Has a good understanding of food hygiene, allergen awareness and health & safety.
  • Is flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends in support of school events.
  • Experience within an education or independent school environment and a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate would be advantageous but are not essential.
