Job summary

The King's School, Chester is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to lead the school’s catering team during term-time. The role focuses on delivering high-quality food service, supervising staff, and collaborating with the Head Chef to ensure smooth daily operations and events.

You will maintain high standards of hygiene and safety, provide a welcoming hospitality experience for pupils and staff, and be flexible to support school functions and busy periods as required.

Qualifications

• Has experience in hospitality, catering or events.
• Delivers exceptional customer service.
• Leads and supports a catering team during busy periods.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Able to adapt to changing priorities and environments.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety considerations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day catering operations and ensure high service standards.
• Lead, motivate and support the catering team.
• Coordinate with General Catering Manager and Head Chef.
• Maintain food hygiene and safety, allergen management and cleanliness.
• Provide welcoming hospitality for pupils, staff, visitors and guests.
• Assist in planning and delivering school functions and events.
• Foster teamwork and ongoing improvement within the team.
