Job summary

DN Colleges Group is seeking a permanent catering supervisor to work across catering outlets, preparing and serving food to students, staff and visitors. The role rotates between DN Colleges sites as needed, with a focus on hygiene, service standards and customer care.

The post requires an Enhanced DBS check and relevant catering qualifications or supervisory experience. It is hands-on and supports in-house hospitality with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 in Catering, or equivalent supervisory experience.
• Experience in food preparation, cooking and food service.
• Experience in customer service and cash handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, cooking and baking across catering outlets.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, food hygiene and kitchen safety.
• Organise staffing to run catering facilities efficiently.
• Provide visible support during service and stay knowledgeable on menus and products.
• Support the delivery of in-house hospitality services.
• Complete daily and weekly administrative records in line with relevant legislation.
• Respond to customer feedback and escalate requests or complaints to the Catering Manager.
• Maintain awareness of allergen information and products used in catering operations.
• Support training and development activities within the catering team.
• Work with colleagues, students on placement and the Estates and Facilities team.
• Provide support across different DN Colleges sites when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, departmental objectives and service standards.
