Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Catering Supervisor at HMPPS Newbold Revel Training College near Rugby. You will lead a welcoming, customer-focused catering service and work closely with the Catering Manager and Head Chef to ensure high standards of quality and presentation.

With at least three years’ supervisory catering experience and Level 3 Food Safety, you’ll manage a small team, deliver great service, and maintain safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Essential catering and supervisory experience, with at least three years in a similar role or environment.
• Level 3 Food Safety or an equivalent qualification.
• NVQ or equivalent qualification.
• Practical cooking skills and confidence supporting food preparation and service.
• Barista skills and a focus on delivering a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the catering team, providing clear direction and leading by example.
• Assist with preparing, cooking and serving food, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation.
• Deliver friendly, efficient customer service and respond promptly to queries.
• Keep kitchens, service points and work areas clean, tidy and organised, supporting general kitchen duties.
• Maintain food safety, allergen and health and safety standards, completing the necessary checks and records.
• Support team inductions, refresher training and ongoing development.
• Carry out safety checks and promote safe working practices.
• Step in to support the Catering Manager during their absence, keeping colleagues informed through effective handovers.
