Job summary

Northyorks is seeking a Catering Supervisor to oversee daily operations across cafés, restaurants, or leisure venues. You will lead an enthusiastic team, uphold excellent service, and ensure smooth shifts. The role is full-time and may be split into two part-time positions.

Key responsibilities include managing shifts, upholding safety and hygiene, maintaining site standards, handling cash, promoting services, and acting as safety lead. Benefits and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Personal Licence is desirable (training provided if you don't have one).
• Previous experience in a hospitality supervisory role.
• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer feedback and complaints in a positive manner.
• A calm, resilient, and self-motivated multitasker who can thrive during busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations - manage shifts efficiently to meet and exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure safety & hygiene - comply with all food hygiene, health and safety, and COSHH regulations.
• Maintain pristine standards - oversee the cleaning, maintenance, and setup of front and back-of-house areas.
• Secure cash handling - follow council cash management and financial procedures strictly.
• Drive venue sales - actively promote services and maximise commercial opportunities.
• Act as safety lead - monitor visitor well-being and act as the designated Fire Marshall.
