University of York is seeking a Catering Supervisor to join one of its busy catering outlets. You will support the Catering Manager, lead a team of catering professionals, and ensure service excellence while meeting stringent targets and standards.

The role requires adaptability to last-minute changes, reliability, and a proactive, ambitious approach in a fast-paced environment. Hours are 37 per week with a mix of early and late shifts over 7 days.

Job description

We are looking for a Catering Supervisor to join the team to work in one of our busy catering outlets. Whilst assisting the Catering Manager you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service by meeting and exceeding strict targets and standards. An ability to adapt to last minute changes in demand, experience of work in a busy catering operation and leading a team of catering professionals is essential. You should also be reliable, committed, ambitious and have a flexible approach.

• The hours of work will be 37 per week
• The shift pattern will be a mixture of early shifts (7.30am-3.30pm) and late shifts (12.00-8.00pm) and these will be worked 5 days over 7
