Job summary

Chartwells Independent is seeking an experienced Catering Supervisor to oversee Compass Group UK&I catering operations at Chartwells on a part-time basis, contracted to 30 hours per week.

The role covers supervising kitchens and service counters, ensuring exceptional food and customer service, and driving KPIs while upholding health and safety standards. Progression is encouraged in a company that values its people.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of catering experience.
• Experience managing teams in a similar role.
• Hold a Basic Food Hygiene certificate.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to upskill.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious food to the highest standards.
• Supervise culinary and catering teams to ensure impeccable service.
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and targets.
• Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain brand image.
• Liaise between customers and teams to exceed expectations.
• Train and support teams to excel in their roles.
• Implement and review Health & Safety standards across all catering and service teams.
